Here are five games to watch in Coastal Alabama in Week 5.
All games are subject to change due to COVID-19 and the weather. Please check with home teams for possible crowd restrictions and ticket information. Limited or no tickets will be available at the gate at most games. Many games will be shown on the NFHS Network.

BAYSIDE ACADEMY (4-0) AT T.R. MILLER (3-1)
Time/Location: 7 p.m. Friday, Municipal Stadium, Brewton
Last week: Bayside Academy defeated Hillcrest-Evergreen 24-21 in 2OTs; T.R. Miller defeated Chickasaw 52-6.
Class 3A, Region 1 records: Both teams are 2-0.

The skinny: Bayside remained unbeaten when Joey Jones kicked a 27-yard FG in the second overtime last week. The Admirals are 4-0 for the first time since 2011. The Bayside defense came up with four sacks and an interception. Charles St. Pierre and Joey Loper scored rushing TDs for the Admirals in regulation. Zach Kittrell scored on a 7-yard TD run on fourth-and-goal in the first overtime. … The Tigers rolled past Chickasaw. Blake Jernigan passed for 159 yards and 2 TDs and T.R. Miller rushed for 193 yards. Darius Webb had two catches for 53 yards and a 37-yard punt return for a score. Jernigan finished 11-of-13 for 159 yards. … T.R. Miller leads the overall series 8-4, but Bayside has won two of the last three, including last year’s 30-29 win in Daphne. … T.R. Miller coach Brent Hubbert is five wins away from 200 in his 20-year career. Bayside’s Phil Lazenby has 181 career wins and is four wins away from 100 in his 14th year with the Admirals.

SARALAND (3-1) AT BLOUNT (3-1)

Last week: Saraland collected a forfeit win from Baldwin County; Blount defeated Citronelle 26-0.
Class 6A, Region 1 records: Both teams are 2-0.
On the air: MCPSS-TV.
The skinny: Saraland didn’t play last week after Baldwin County had to cancel due to COVID-19 concerns. The Spartans have missed two of their first four games. They opted not to travel to Hewitt-Trussville in Week 2 due to pandemic concerns and travel difficulties. However, Jeff Kelly’s team has been impressive the two times they have played. The Spartans beat Theodore 42-21 and McGill-Toolen 42-14. QB Karson Green is 32-of-45 for 421 yards and 5 TDs in those two games. He’s been intercepted twice. He also has rushed for 63 yards and 3 TDs on just eight carries. Omarion Crawford has rushed for 177 yards and a score on 30 carries. Jarel Williams has 10 receptions for 156 yards and 2 TDs. C.T. Englebert has 3 TD receptions. Elijah Johnston leads the defense with 20 tackles. … Blount played its first actual game last week, shutting out Citronelle. Lamarcus Brown threw three touchdown passes and Troy commit Jarris Williams also ran for 103 yards and a score. Louisiana Tech commit Armani Diamond had three receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown, while Melvin Williams had three receptions for 69 yards and two TDs. … Saraland leads the overall series 4-2 and has won the last three games with Blount, including last year’s 17-6 win. Kelly is 86-29 in his 10th season with the Spartans. Lev Holly is 42-19 in six years at Blount.

ST. PAUL’S (4-0) AT FAITH ACADEMY (4-0)

Last week: St. Paul’s defeated UMS-Wright 34-32; Faith Academy defeated LeFlore 50-6.
Class 5A, Region 1 records: St. Paul’s 1-0; Faith Academy 2-0

The skinny: The Saints rallied to defeated UMS-Wright in the Battle of Old Shell Road. Bestor McFadden completed 14 of 18 passes for 146 yards and four touchdowns. St. Paul’s also got another lift from Army commit Javonte Graves-Billips, who rushed for 130 yards and a TD on just 13 carries. He now has 327 yards and 4 TDs on 34 carries this year. Will Passeau caught 3 TD passes last week and now has four for the season. … Faith has outscored its last two opponents (Elberta and LeFlore) 102-20. Gabe Broadus and Christian Burnett each scored twice in last week’s win over LeFlore. Colton Wood ran for a TD and threw a TD pass and Shemar James scored on a 10-yard run. The Rams have won the last 16 regular-season games dating back to 2017. However, Faith has never beaten St. Paul’s (0-10). The Rams have been outscored 413-110 in those games.

Last week: Theodore defeated Daphne 21-20 in OT; Murphy defeated MGM 31-13.

The skinny: The Bobcats have won three straight games since their season-opening loss at Saraland, capped by last week’s upset of then-No. 7 Daphne at home. Sheldon Russ, Brandon Jones and Tyree Pharr led a charge of Theodore defenders to swarm Daphne running back Veontai Williams for a loss on a 2-point run attempt in the first overtime and preserve the win. Kierstan Rogers scored on two runs in his first game back after leaving the Saraland game with an injury. Ryheem Quinney also scored on a 5-yard run. … Murphy is 4-0 for the first time since 2013. Tanaka Scott had three touchdowns – two receiving and one rushing – last week against the Vikings. QB Alex Howell threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns. Khalil Johnson had a 14-yard TD run and Raeshun Kidd Bryant had a 10-yard run. … The Panthers lead the overall series 33-22, but Theodore has won the last two games by a combined score of 79-7.

The skinny: This is the first meeting between the two teams. … The Wolves are coming off a 34-14 loss at Jackson. They defeated W.S. Neal 20-12 on Sept. 4 for John McKenzie’s first win as the team’s head coach. The Wolves have a pair of new players on their roster as of this week. Anthony Mix Jr. and Jermaine Coleman, who started the season at Saraland, are now at Vigor. … Mobile Christian raced to a 31-0 advantage on W.S. Neal last week thanks to a pair of touchdowns by Devin Harris on a 1-yard run and an interception return for a score. Also in the first half, Johnny Schmitz threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to East Carolina commit Toler Keigley, Kenneth Flott punched in from the 1-yard line and Jackson Chandler kicked a 40-yard field goal for the Leopards. Harris scored again for Mobile Christian on a 25-yard dash in the final quarter. … Ronnie Cottrell is 43-13 in five years as head coach of the Leopards.
